The Process:

The embroidery process is simple but complicated at the same time. The process begins with the artwork. The customer can provide a clear image of the artwork they want embroidered on the garment. If a logo is not needed and the request is simply type font, the customer should send the words they want embroidered and the desired font and our staff will create the art file. Once the art file is created, the file is sent to the customer for final approval of the size, colors, and embroidery location. The next step is the digitizing process. Digitizing is the process that applies a stitch to each area of your logo and turns your logo into a digital copy that our embroidery machines can read and stitch onto the garment. Digitizing is a process that costs $30 per design. Once we have your logo digitized, we keep the file for future orders of the same design.

Once digitization is complete, the production process begins! Embroidery is a beautiful decoration technique, but it has some limitations. It is not good to embroider small letters/numbers. Industry standard recommends no letters less than 0.25”. If the embroidery is smaller than 0.25”, the letters can become illegible. We must also be able to hoop the garment (secure it to the machine) in order to embroider the item. If there are any issues with hooping the garment, our staff will contact you.

After production, the finishing touches are done to the garment. We remove all backing from the garment and “clean” the embroidered image by removing all excess thread from the garment.

Thread Colors:

We carry a vast collection of stock colors in house at Perfect Apparel. PMS match for thread colors is not possible, but we can find the best match for the color that matches your corporate/business brand. If we do not have the color needed, we can procure a color as close as possible for you. Just ask us during the ordering process. We charge a $14 fee for special thread color requests.

Cost: 

Embroidery cost is based on the amount of stitches in the design. Therefore, all embroidery jobs are quoted. Most standard upper left chest logos have less than 10K stitches.
